2. What Information We Collect and the Sources of Your Information
We may collect and process the following data about you in the following ways and from the following sources:
● Details of Your Visits and Use of Our Site. We may collect details of your visits to the Site and the resources that you access, including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs, and other communication data, including your IP address, timing, and content of what you viewed. Some parts of the Site use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect this information about your general internet usage. See section below “How We Use Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies” to learn more.
● Information You Provide Directly to Us. We may collect information that you voluntarily provide to us when you create an account and interact with our Site. The information we may collect includes, but is not limited to, your name, email address, telephone number, Search Bar Data Collection. When you use the search bar on our Site, we may collect information related to your search queries, including the terms you enter and your interactions with search results. This information may be used to improve our Site, analyze trends, and enhance your experience. We may also share search-related information with third-party service providers who assist us in processing and analyzing search queries or in delivering relevant content. These third parties are required to handle your information in accordance with applicable privacy laws and our instructions. By using the search bar, you acknowledge and agree to this collection and sharing of information as described above. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.
● Information provided to us when you communicate with us for any reason.
By submitting a telephone number or other contact information to MaleBeing, you agree that MaleBeing, and/or a representative acting on its behalf, can contact you at the telephone number you provide, potentially using automated technology (including texts/SMS messaging) or a pre-recorded message. Your consent is not an obligation to receive our products and/or services.
3.Information you provide in the AI Feature. When you use MaleBeing’s chatbot and related generative AI features (the “AI Feature”), we collect and process the information you choose to enter, which may include free-text messages and other content you submit through the Platform. Because MaleBeing is designed to support interpersonal communication and wellbeing skill-building, user inputs may include sensitive information, such as information about relationships, conflict, intimacy, mental health, substance use, trauma, abuse, or other personal circumstances. You should not submit information you do not want us to process for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Chat Inputs, AI Outputs, and Conversation Records
We may collect and store the following categories of information when you use the AI Feature:
● Chat inputs and related content. Messages, prompts, and other content you submit through the AI Feature.
● AI outputs. The responses generated by the AI Feature and delivered to you.
● Conversation metadata. Information such as timestamps, conversation identifiers, and session information.
● Feedback and corrections. Any ratings, reactions, or feedback you provide about AI outputs, including reports of unsafe or inappropriate content.
Derived Information, Personalization Data, and Adaptation of Your Content
MaleBeing is designed to adapt training to a user’s reality and the relational dilemmas the user brings. To support this, we may create and use derived data from your interactions, including:
● Topic and coaching signals. For example, themes inferred from your use, such as communication goals or skill areas.
● Personalization signals. Preferences, pacing, and training pathways inferred from your interactions.
● Safety and integrity signals. Indicators that content may involve self-harm, harm to others, abuse, exploitation, or other safety issues.
We use this derived information to operate, personalize, and improve the Site, including tailoring exercises, prompts, and training experiences.
Safety Monitoring, Escalation Flags, and Safeguarding
To support user safety and prevent misuse, we may use a combination of automated and human processes to identify content that may indicate heightened risk, including potential risk of self-harm or harm to others, domestic violence, abuse or neglect involving children or vulnerable individuals, stalking, weapon access, or other credible threats to safety.
We may create internal records associated with these events, such as safety flags, classifications, and notes about actions taken (for example, providing safety prompts, restricting features, or making a report to authorities where appropriate).
Human Access to Chat Content and Internal Controls
We do not need routine human review to provide the AI Feature, but authorized personnel may access user content, including chat inputs and AI outputs, in limited circumstances, such as:
● Safety and safeguarding. Evaluating and responding to potential risk, abuse, or threats to safety.
● Support and troubleshooting. Investigating user-reported issues and assisting with account or technical problems.
● Quality assurance and improvement. Testing, auditing, and improving the AI Feature and Site performance.
● Compliance and enforcement. Enforcing our Terms of Use, investigating suspected misuse, and meeting legal obligations.
We use access controls designed to limit internal access to those with a legitimate need to know, and we may log access to sensitive systems.
How We Use Chat Content and AI-Related Information
In addition to the general purposes described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy, we use AI Feature information (including chat inputs, AI outputs, metadata, feedback, and derived information) to:
● Provide and maintain the AI Feature and related training experiences.
● Personalize coaching, exercises, and learning pathways.
● Improve safety, integrity, and misuse prevention.
● Improve the quality, accuracy, and reliability of the AI Feature and the Site.
● Diagnose problems, debug, and develop new features.
● Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
Model Training and Improvement Using Your Content
Our AI technology providers (Groq, Ultravox, HeyGen) process your conversation content only to provide their services to us and are not permitted to use it to train or improve their own models.
We do not use the content of your conversations, voice or video sessions, or AI outputs to train or fine-tune any AI model — ours or anyone else's. We use aggregated or de-identified usage patterns and the explicit feedback you give (ratings, reports of unsafe content) to evaluate and improve the AI Feature's prompts, safety rules and coaching design. We never sell your conversation content and never share it with advertisers.
Disclosures for Safety, Legal Compliance, and Protection of Others
We may disclose information, including chat content, account details, and relevant technical data, when we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to:
● Protect life and safety. Address an imminent risk of harm to you or another person.
● Safeguard children and vulnerable individuals. Respond to suspected abuse, exploitation, or neglect involving a child or other vulnerable individual.
● Comply with law or legal process. Respond to lawful requests, court orders, or other valid legal demands.
● Enforce our Terms of Use. Investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected unlawful activity, policy violations, or threats to safety.
Where we make disclosures for these reasons, we aim to disclose only the information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose, consistent with applicable law.
Information About Other People You May Include in Your Use of the Site
You may choose to share information about other individuals (for example, a partner, family member, coworker, or child) when using the Site. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share that information. We may process such information as part of your user content for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Automated Decisions on the Site
Certain Site features may involve automated processing, such as detecting potential safety risks, limiting certain outputs, presenting safety prompts, or restricting access to features to prevent misuse. These processes are designed to support safety and ethical use of the Site. The Site is not intended to provide emergency services or clinical care, and automated processes may not detect all risks.
Account-Level Deletion Only
You may request deletion of your account. Deletion is handled at the account level, not at the level of individual conversations. When your account is deleted, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account consistent with our retention practices, legal obligations, and legitimate business needs (for example, maintaining records necessary for security, fraud prevention, compliance, or dispute resolution).
Retention of Chat and Safety Records
We retain chat inputs, AI outputs, conversation metadata, derived personalization data, and safety or integrity records for as long as necessary to provide the Site, maintain safety and integrity, comply with law, and enforce our Terms of Use. Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the data and the reason it was collected. We may retain certain information after account deletion where required or permitted by law, or where necessary for safety, security, or compliance purposes.
Push Notifications and Other Communications
If we send push notifications or other in-app messages, we may use account and usage information to deliver reminders and training prompts. Depending on your settings and device configuration, notification previews may appear on your device. You can control push notifications through your device settings and, where available, in-app preferences.
Analytics Related to Sensitive Content
We may use analytics tools to understand Platform performance and improve user experience. We aim to minimize the use of sensitive chat content for analytics and to use aggregated or de-identified insights where appropriate. We use reasonable measures to limit access to raw user content for analytics purposes.
Third-Party AI Technology Providers
The AI Feature is powered in part by third-party artificial-intelligence service providers that process your content on our behalf to deliver the Site's text, voice, and video experiences. Depending on the features you use, your conversation content may be processed by: Groq (to generate the AI Feature's text responses); Ultravox (to power real-time voice sessions and produce transcripts); and HeyGen (to power interactive avatar video sessions). These providers process your content in order to provide their services to us, and we seek contractual commitments from our providers restricting the use of your content to providing services to us. We also use other service providers for functions such as hosting, security, analytics, customer support, subscription billing, and app-install attribution (for example, Supabase, Mixpanel, RevenueCat, and AppsFlyer); these do not receive the content of your conversations.
4. How We Use and Disclose Your Information
In addition to the above, the information that we collect and store relating to you is primarily used to enable us to provide services to you in the best possible manner. In addition, we may use the information for the following purposes:
● To provide you with information relating to our services.
● To fulfill or meet the reason you supplied the information to us.
● To send communications (e.g., through email or text).
● To fulfill a legal requirement or respond to law enforcement requests, or as otherwise required by applicable law, court order or governmental regulations.
● To identify potential fraud or illegal activities.
● To third party service providers to facilitate our services to you (e.g., payment processing, customer service, auditing, and/or other administrative services).
● To evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by us about our Site users is among the assets transferred.
● To any affiliated business entities.
We will not use your personal information for purposes other than as expressly stated herein or as otherwise allowed by applicable law. We will not use personal information for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without updating this Privacy Policy.
While the Platform is not an emergency or crisis service, MaleBeing may take steps it considers appropriate to help protect users and others from serious harm. If you submit information that reasonably suggests a child or other vulnerable individual may be at risk of abuse, exploitation, or neglect, or that there is a credible risk to the safety or life of any person, MaleBeing may, to the extent permitted by law, report relevant information to law enforcement, child protection agencies, adult safeguarding authorities, emergency services, or other appropriate third parties. You understand that MaleBeing may also use or disclose information as reasonably necessary to address imminent harm, to comply with legal obligations or lawful requests, or to enforce these Terms.
5. How Long Do We Keep Your Personal Information
We keep personal information for as long as it is needed based on the purpose(s) for which it was collected within the bounds of the applicable law(s) and regulation(s). We may keep your personal information for as long as you have a registered account on our Site. It may also be necessary for us to keep your information due to a legal obligation.
6. How We Use Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit our website. Our website uses strictly necessary cookies to operate, and, only with your consent, analytics cookies and similar technologies to understand how the website is used. Non-essential cookies and analytics scripts are not set until you make a choice in the consent banner described below; simply browsing the website does not constitute consent.
We use the following types of cookies and trackers:
● Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are needed for the operation of our Site. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our Site.
● Analytical/performance cookies. These are cookies that allow us to recognize and count the number of visitors to our Site and to see how visitors move around our Site when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our Site works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.
● Functionality cookies. These are cookies used to recognize you when you return to our Site. This enables us to personalize our content for you and remember your preferences.
Third Party Service Providers. The website is built and hosted on Webflow. With your consent, we use Webflow Analyze, a first-party analytics tool operated by Webflow, Inc., to count visitors and understand how they move around the website. Our cookie consent banner is provided by CookieYes, which stores your consent choice. We do not use advertising pixels, session-replay tools, or chat widgets on the website, and we do not use website data for targeted advertising. With your consent we also use Webflow Optimize, a Webflow, Inc. personalization and A/B testing tool, which assigns you to a page variant and records which variant you saw; it does not run until you accept analytics cookies.
When you accept analytics cookies, Webflow Analyze may receive information about your activity on our website, including pages you visit, access times, visit duration, how you arrived at our website, your IP address, and information about the browser and device you use. An IP address is a number that identifies a device connected to the internet. We use this information only in aggregate to understand and improve the website; we do not combine it with your app account or your conversations, and we do not disclose it to advertising networks.
Please note that third parties may also use cookies, over which we have no control. These cookies are likely to be analytical/performance cookies or targeting cookies.
How do you change your cookie settings?
Most internet browsers accept cookies by default, but you can change your browser preferences to block or restrict cookies if you do not want your web browsing activity tracked. Please note that some cookies are necessary for our Site to run and, as such, cannot be declined. If you choose, you may use the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) WebChoices Tool available herehttps://optout.aboutads.info/?c=2&lang=EN to globally opt out of third-party tracking via website cookies. There are also a variety of other tools publicly available to manage cookies and similar technologies that collect information related to your use of our Site. To learn more about cookies and modifying your browser settings related to these cookies you can review guidance from the Federal Trade Commission available here https://consumer.ftc.gov/articles/how-websites-and-apps-collect-and-use-your-information.
We are not responsible for the effectiveness or compliance of third-party opt-out mechanisms or programs. Please note that if you remove your cookies or upgrade your browser after having opted out, you will need to opt out again. Your opt out is specific to the browser you are using and the device you use to access the Site. Therefore, if you use multiple browsers or devices you will need to opt out on each browser or device. You can access the information on our Site without enabling cookies in your browser, but disabling cookies may result in a diminished ability to take advantage of the services and related informational content on our Site.
Consent management on this website. When you first visit our website, a cookie consent banner allows you to accept or reject cookies that are not strictly necessary. Such cookies are set only after you give your consent, and rejecting them does not affect your ability to use the website. Your choice is stored in a cookie named cookieyes-consent for up to twelve months, after which we ask again. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the cookie icon that appears in the corner of the website, and you can also delete cookies through your browser settings. Analytics measurement on this website runs only for visitors who have accepted analytics cookies. Our consent banner is provided by CookieYes, which processes and stores a timestamped record of your consent choice on our behalf. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out of analytics cookies and of any sale or sharing of personal information.
Mobile App Analytics and Install Attribution
The MaleBeing mobile app does not use cookies. With your permission, it uses two service providers: Mixpanel (product analytics) and AppsFlyer (install attribution). Neither is started until you make a choice on the “Your privacy choices” screen the first time you open the app, and both are stopped if you decline. You can change your choice at any time in the app under Menu → Privacy & Data or on the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” screen. These providers receive a random device identifier, your account identifier, the screens and features you use, plan and purchase events, session length, app version and platform, and the campaign or store listing that led to the install. They never receive the content of your chats, voice or video sessions, your email address, or your name. We ask for this permission again every twelve months or when the disclosure changes, and we keep a timestamped record of each choice.
Notice at Collection
At or before the point of collection, this is what we collect and why:
● Identifiers (name, email address, account identifier, device identifier): to create and secure your account, provide the service, and, with your permission, measure app usage. Retained while your account exists and as required by law.
● Sensitive personal information (the content of your conversations with the AI Feature, which may include information about relationships, mental health, or other personal circumstances): to provide and personalize coaching and to keep users safe. Processed by our AI providers (Groq, Ultravox, HeyGen) only with your separate consent. Retained while your account exists; deleted or de-identified after account deletion, subject to safety and legal holds.
● Commercial information (subscription plan and purchase history): to provide the plan you purchased and support billing. Retained for the life of the account plus applicable tax and accounting periods.
● Internet or network activity (app usage events, website analytics, IP address): to understand and improve the Site. Collected only with your consent. Retained in aggregate form.
● Consent records (the timestamped choices you make, with IP address and device information): to honor your choices and demonstrate compliance. Retained for five years, including after account deletion.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose personal information only to service providers bound by contract, to our AI technology providers with your consent, and as required by law.
Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), gives you the following rights:
● Right to know: to request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to.
● Right to delete: to request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions. You can delete your account yourself in the app under Menu → Privacy & Data → Delete My Account.
● Right to correct: to request correction of inaccurate personal information.
● Right to opt out of sale or sharing: we do not sell or share personal information. You may still turn off analytics and install attribution at any time in the app, or via the cookie banner on the website.
● Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: we use the content of your conversations only to provide the service you asked for and for safety. Because the AI Feature cannot operate without processing your conversations, withdrawing this consent means closing your account, which you can do at any time under Menu → Privacy & Data → Delete My Account. Your other choices (analytics, attribution) can be changed at any time without closing your account.
● Right to non-discrimination: we will not deny you services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised any of these rights.
To exercise these rights, use the tools in the app (Menu → Privacy & Data lets you download or delete your data) or email us at benjamin@malebeing.ai. We will verify your request by matching it to the email address on your account and respond within 45 days. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we will ask the agent for proof of your written permission. We honor Global Privacy Control signals on the website as an opt-out request.
7. Third Party Websites and Hyperlinks
By accessing third party websites through our Site, you are consenting to the terms and privacy policies of those websites. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for their policies whatsoever as we have no control over them.
8. Security
To secure your information, we have put in place commercially reasonable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect on our Site. Nonetheless, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and therefore we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us electronically, and the transmission of such data is therefore entirely at your own risk.
9. Users Age
Our Site is designed and intended only for those who have reached the legal age of majority (18 years of age). By using this Site, you affirm that you are at least 18 years of age or older. We are not liable for any damages that may result from any user’s misrepresentations of age. No one under the age of 13 is authorized to use our Site or share any information with us, including personal information. Under no circumstances may anyone under age 13 use the Site. Parents or legal guardians of children under 13 cannot agree to these terms on their behalf.
